Since 1975 the Valliani family has had extensive experience in the fields of manufacturing, wholesale and retail via the international arena through the ownership of brands such as Hamilton Carhartt, being a Wrangler licensee, and through contract manufacturing under Hawkesbay.
Over the last 38 years till today Hawkesbay Sportswear has been servicing the Asian, European and American markets.

Valliani family purchased Hamilton Carhartt facilities

1975

THE REVOLUTION BEGINS

Hamilton Carhartt production facilities were purchased in Toronto, Canada.

1978

THE COMING OF A NEW AGE

Hamilton Carhartt was re-branded, refreshed and re-born. State of the art manufacturing units were bought and operational in North Carolina, USA.

PIONEERS OF DENIM

Never seen before, the Valliani family brought denim manufacturing at its best to Karachi, Pakistan.

1983

MOVING FROM STRENGTH TO STRENGTH

With a surge in increasing demand, additional manufacturing units were operational within months. The Valliani family owned the largest state of the art manufacturing facilities in Karachi, Pakistan.

1993

FROM THE SUB-CONTINENT TO THE MIDDLE EAST

10 Years on, the need for expansion arose. Additional factories were acquired in the Sharjah Free Zone, UAE.

1998 - 1999

BREAKING & ENTERING - DO THE DENIM

Creating over 1’000 jobs, the Valliani family purchased VF Corporation’s, Fruit of the Loom state of the art production facilities in Ireland and Northern Ireland.

2000

BREAKING THE MOULD, PERFORMANCE & PASSION

This year marks the introduction of the first Turbine retail store. Located in one of Ireland’s most prestigious and third largest shopping environment, Castle Court, Belfast.

2004

CREATING A STIR

With a giant leap and a massive investment, 28 retail stores were purchased under the Ciro Citterio fascia and then later re-branded to Chemistry.

A time for re-grouping and re-structuring departments. Additional family members joined the business.

2014 - Present

BACK TO BASICS

Manufacturing was and is still at the center of our core. Investments In minority shares were made with local partners in China, Pakistan and Bangladesh.
